'Who dis'? What a stupid expression. Only something this stupid would become catchy, but this is only because it is oh so stupid. Only a social dystopia like the Internet could create and carry such an abomination of speech to the furthest reaches of discourse, and only the ongoing 'meme-fication' of thought could compel one to even contemplate continuing to spread such verbal detritus.
Anyway, don't diss. Or do. What the hell am I talking about?
Maybe it is a lack of originality or personality - just how the voice of the Internet eventually becomes homegenous; how all of the sites we choose or are forced to interact with are just 'algorythmic'. You don't appreciate or contemplate; you consume because it has been meticulously engineered. Content is not so much crafted as it procedurrally manufactured to optimize for your clicks, attention, sensitive data, or whatever the Corporate machine is measuring.
To hell with that.
Read this or don't. But at least stop by the 'local' Internet once in a while.
Bookmark a blog written by a person who isn't trying to sell to you sometime. Get off your social 'feed' trough. Stop publishing on Medium and make your own blog. There are still small spaces on the Internet where people go to write for the craft. We like to leave the porch door open.
Wander by sometime - weather's nice.
